Bio

John Edward Aycoth

A native of North Carolina who joined the U.S. Navy in 1975 and graduated with honors from the U.S. Naval Cryptologic School, Corry Station in Pensacola, Florida and received a Top Secret Special Intelligence Clearance (SI) and was assigned duty to (FOSIF), the Fleet Oceanographic Surveillance Intelligence Facility at the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Station in Rota, Spain, which included (TAD) Temporary Active Duty on the U.S.S. Guam, U.S.S. Yarnell, U.S.S. Bowen and 60 days on the staff of the U.S. Naval Commander – Middle East Forces on the U.S.S. LaSalle in Bahrain. Before being discharged from 4 years active service in 1979, following 2 years Naval Reserve, Mr. Aycoth was awarded a Citation of Appreciation from the Commanding Officer, U.S. Naval Cryptologic Station, Rota, Spain. In 1980 he became a State Coordinator with the Reagan for President Campaign and the Reagan/Bush Campaign in Florida. After the election in 1981, Mr. Aycoth moved to Washington, D.C. and launched Edward Aycoth & Co., Inc., an International Consulting firm which specialized in Public Relations, Advertising, Government Affairs, Trade & Economic Development Programs for Developing Countries. In 1990, Mr. Aycoth launched EAW Financial PR in New York which specialized in representing British and International companies with their American Depository Receipts (ADRs) listings on the NYSE, AMEX, Nasdaq or OTC Exchanges. In 1994 EAW Financial PR was merged with Citigate Financial in London. In 2006 the company became EAW GROUP LLC and over a span of 40 years the firms represented over 250 Corporations and 28 Foreign Governments in both Washington and the United Nations.

In 2013 Mr. Aycoth acquired and re-launched the world famous “Rice Diet Program” which was created at Duke University Hospital in 1939 by Dr. Walter Kempner which treated chronic Hypertension, Kidney and Heart disease using the “Rice Diet”. The new program was refocused for the treatment of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus at the Rice House Healthcare Program’s new 14,000 ft. medical building located in Durham, N.C.  Mr. Aycoth is also Chairman of the Rice House Healthcare Foundation which was created to fund research on Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus in partnership with Duke University Medical Center’s Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition at the Rice House Healthcare Program with Dr. Kempner’s “Rice Diet”.

Mr. Aycoth is presently serving a Three (3) year term on the Board of Directors of the North American Committee of the College Foundation Board for Lucy Cavendish College – University of Cambridge.

Mr. Aycoth is on the Board of Directors of VULCAN AEROSPACE HOLDINGS LLC and VULCAN AEROSPACE Pty. Ltd. of South Africa.

Mr. Aycoth is Vice Chairman and on the Board of Directors of United Nuclear Group LLC.

Mr. Aycoth is Chairman of the Clean Energy Virginia PAC, Inc.

Mr. Aycoth is “Of Counsel” to the Law Firm of Lewis Baach Kaufmann Middlemiss PLLC based in Washington, DC with offices in New York City and London.

Mr. Aycoth was a long-time director of Hemdale International, the global arm of Hemdale Film Corporation, the largest independent British-American film production company in Los Angeles which produced over 87 films including The Terminator, Platoon, The Last Emperor, Hoosiers, Salvador & The Falcon and the Snowman.

Mr. Aycoth has been a Board Member or Affiliated with a number of International Business & Trade Associations, Cultural or Charities like the Netherlands-American Amity Trust (NAAT), British-American Business Association (BABA), The Asia Society, U.S.-ASEAN Trade Council, U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, U.S.-Malaysia Trade Council, U.S.- Libya Trade and Economic Council, The African-American Institute, The British Automotive Manufacturing Association (BAMA), The Netherlands-American Foundation, The British Motorcycle Industry Council, The March of Dimes, The Salvation Army, The Albert Schweitzer Hospital Foundation of America and The Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Over the past 30 years Mr. Aycoth has supported the global efforts to bring awareness to stop the spread of poaching of Rhinoceros, Elephants, Giraffes and Okapis in Africa.
